THE HIGHEST CAMP BEFORE THE SUMMIT

  

Pick up and drop off locations:


  • Lincoln Park - Downtown Grand Junction 12th and Gunnison
  • Peach Bowl Park -  Palisade 5th and Elberta
  • Plateau Valley School


A typical day at Camp7:

  • 8:00 a.m. pickup from one of our two designated pickup locations
  • 9:00 Bus arrives at camp!
  • 9:15 Meet in the”Round” for announcements, birthdays, special surprises
  • 9:30 Interest areas (athletics, archery, camp crafts, group games, etc…)
  • 11:00 Open period (campers’ choice)
  • Noon Lunch at campsite with counselor
  • 1:00 Swimming and water activities (canoe, paddle boats)
  • 3:00 Group activity
  • 4:15 Load bus and depart
  • 5:15 p.m. drop off at original pickup location


Campout:


  • Campfire program (Thursday nights on the 2nd week of each session)
  • Families of campers are invited to spend an evening at Camp7 for an extraordinary night of activities, singing, skits, and camp fun. Parents are asked to bring a picnic dinner for their family.
  • After the campfire program activities have ended and parents have departed, campers will settle in for the night in a traditional Crow tepee with their counselor and fellow campers located in our high mesa summer tepee grounds. 
  • We ask campers to bring a sleeping bag/bedroll and toiletries for the night.
  • Regular activities will resume on the following day including a full breakfast and lunch provided by Camp7.


 


What to bring:


  • Sack lunch and snack for each day, afternoon snack is provided
  • Water bottle
  • Swim suit and towel
  • Sturdy shoes (no sandals please)
  • Small day pack
  • Attitude of greatness!!!


What NOT to bring:


  • Music players (ipods, mp3 players, portable stereos)
  • Cell phones (we have a landline in case of emergency)
  • Video game players
  • Books and magazines
  • Weapons of any kind (pocketknife, gun, etc.)
